Welcome to the web site for Boy Scout Troop 106, Huntington, Long Island New York. We serve the Huntington/Dix Hills area in the Matinecock District of the Suffolk County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Troop 106 has been helping boys become responsible citizens of good character and personal fitness for over 50 years. We are sponsored by the Huntington Elks Lodge #1565 We are a scout lead troop with fully trained adult leaders. We are average sized troop (24 Scouts). We pride ourselves in being extremely active, our troop has a low turnover and a great core leadership, In 2013 our troop became 59 years old. We pride ourselves on maintaining an active troop schedule as well as being the home of 83 Eagle Scouts. We have activities every month throughout the year. We always welcome new scouts to join the troop and enjoy the weekly meetings, advancement, monthly camp outs, hikes and trips.
Our weekly meeting is at the Signal Hill Elementary School on Caledonia Road on Mondays from 7:30 until 9 pm. whenever school is open. Every month we spend a weekend together as a troop and go do something fun such as camping, hiking, rafting, fishing, climbing and and lots of other activities.
