2008 November - Greenbelt Trail

We started out in Sunken Meadow Park on a dreary day. It was very foggy with a slight mist falling on us. Unfortunately it was not going to be a nice day. When the crew was ready we went on our way along the northern cliffs of the park and river. The sights were quite spectacular. Also th views along the river were good. On the trip we stopped by the old veterans center. We had lunch at Sweetbriar at which point it really started to rain harder. Rather than continuing around the western park of the lake we crossed the lake by the Smithtown bull and headed south until going back into the park at the eastern edge. At that point it was a clear run back to the campsite. All together the entire trip was about 12 Miles.
